This modern lace wedding invitation features a pattern custom created for the couple based on the bride’s wedding dress. Alex & Gabe were married September 27, 2014 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Darien, CT with a gorgeous reception at the Stamford Yacht Club. Alex and I worked exclusively via phone and email since she and Gabe were living overseas during the planning process. They decided on a color palette of fuchsia, blush pink and gold with pops of persimmon. When we first connected, Alex was shopping for a wedding dress and had fallen in love with one that had a leaf-inspired lace overlay. We talked about bringing that same pattern into the wedding invitation design, and created a lace patterned paper to layer behind the invitation. I designed an elegant wedding monogram that was used throughout the wedding paper as well as their ice sculpture. We also created save the dates, tented place cards, table names and signs for the candy buffet. Enjoy these amazing photos from Bri Cibene! (You can see her blog post for Alex & Gabe here.)
